About instant messaging: With AOL Instant Messenger, also called AIM, you can Instantly send messages back and forth with your buddies. Share pictures and music and send video and talk in real-time. You can share files with other users. With a PC microphone or an internet phone, you can have live voice conversations via Instant Message, or IM. If you have a webcam, you can have live video clip conversations. You can also inject some personality into your IMs. Graphics and sound options let you personalize IMs with backgrounds, animations, smileys and sounds.
