Acronyms abound in chat and instant messaging. Sometimes it's hard to keep up with the meaning of chat acronyms. Since chatting is so inherently text intensive, it's understandable that chatters would find shortcuts for the most commonly used phrases. You probably already know what acronym LOL stands for, but what about the other chat acronyms? Here is a list of common chat acronyms (also often called internet acronyms) – it's the X-Rated version.
